Dubai Police are hosting 1,400 male and female students from 31 nationalities at eight training centers across Dubai and Hatta this year. The program is not merely intended to fill children's leisure time but focuses on teaching life skills, discipline, digital safety, and emergency preparedness.

Widespread interest from families

These camps, which date back to the 1990s, have evolved from a limited military-style program into a comprehensive social initiative. This year, the number of registrations reached 145,000, with capacity at some centers being filled on the very first day.

Digital system and communication with parents

For the first time, each training center has a dedicated page on the program's new website, and digital profiles have been created for students. Parents receive attendance notifications, daily activity photos, and information regarding field trips, while participation in off-site programs requires explicit parental consent.

Specialized and skill-based courses

This year's camps include approximately 80 specialized courses. One of the most prominent is open-water diving for students over the age of 14, who receive international PADI certification upon successful completion. Swimming courses are also conducted to enhance water safety and reduce the risk of drowning incidents.

First aid training and emergency calls

The Little Paramedic course has been added to this year's program in collaboration with the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services. Students practice first aid skills through hands-on training. Additionally, the 901 Call Center Experience introduces them to the correct procedures for requesting assistance and the behind-the-scenes operations of police dispatch.

Digital safety and legal awareness

In the Aware Detective course, students learn about the risks of fraud, suspicious calls, online gaming, cybercrime, and the legal consequences of sharing photos or false information.

Strengthening discipline and responsibility

Military training remains a significant component of the camps, helping to reinforce punctuality, teamwork, discipline, and social responsibility.
