Disney+ Announces App Changes for UAE Users
One of the UAE’s most popular streaming services is set to undergo a major change soon.
A completely new Disney+ app will launch on Sunday, October 6, replacing the current version and introducing several useful new features.
Whether viewers enjoy binge-watching The Simpsons, following the Marvel Cinematic Universe or exploring classic titles, the app will offer content for a wide range of audiences.
Until now, subscribers in the region have been unable to continue watching their favourite shows and films while travelling abroad. The new version will provide access in Europe, the US and several other regions.
Disney informed subscribers of the change in an email and confirmed that subscription prices will remain unchanged.
More international content will also be added to the platform, with new and popular Turkish and Korean series set to become available in the near future.
Parental controls will also be updated, with a dedicated Junior Mode added for children.
The content recommendation algorithm will also be improved, offering shows and films more closely tailored to users’ preferences and reducing the time spent deciding what to watch next.
Subscribers will receive an email on Sunday, October 6, notifying them when the new app is available to download.
