Tesla has launched the new and more spacious Model Y L Premium in the UAE. This electric vehicle features a longer wheelbase, three rows of seating, and a six-passenger capacity, designed to appeal to families and customers seeking larger electric vehicles.

The Model Y L Premium is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and offers a driving range of up to 681 kilometers based on the WLTP standard. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds.

Compared to the standard Model Y, this new version boasts larger dimensions, with an overall length of 4,976 mm. The cargo space is rated at up to 2,539 liters, making it one of the most practical Model Y variants for family travel and daily use.

The cabin of the Model Y L Premium features a six-seat configuration and includes a 16-inch central touchscreen along with an 8-inch display for the second row. The vehicle is also equipped with 19-inch wheels, a ground clearance of 169 mm, and supports fast charging up to 250 kW. According to Tesla, fast charging can provide up to 288 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes.

The launch of this model in the UAE coincides with the global expansion of the extended Model Y variant. Reuters reports that Tesla has introduced this six-seater version in the United States and confirmed that the long-wheelbase Model Y is now available in the UAE.

Tesla previously introduced the extended Model Y in China, a market characterized by intense competition among electric vehicle manufacturers, particularly Chinese brands like BYD. The arrival of this model in the UAE signals Tesla's strategy to bolster its presence in the Gulf EV market and address the rising demand for electric family SUVs.

According to the official Tesla UAE website, the vehicle comes with a basic warranty of four years or 80,000 km, while the battery and drive unit are covered for eight years or 192,000 km. Tesla noted that the actual driving range may vary based on speed, weather conditions, terrain, and driving habits.

The base price for the Model Y L Premium in the UAE market is set at AED 229,990. This price applies to the standard configuration, with the final cost increasing based on choices such as exterior color, wheels, additional features, or options like Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving capability.

Tesla's UAE ordering page also lists prices for other variants in the Model Y lineup. The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive starts at AED 174,990, while the Model Y Premium Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive is priced from AED 199,990.
