UAE weather: Abu Dhabi temperatures to reach 45°C, fog possible in some areas
The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology said the weather on Sunday, September 20, will be generally fair, with partly cloudy skies at times over eastern areas.
Humidity will increase overnight and continue into Monday morning across some coastal and inland areas. Fog or mist may also form, particularly in western areas, potentially reducing visibility during the early morning.
Motorists travelling late at night or early in the morning have been advised to exercise extra caution in areas affected by fog and mist and to be prepared for reduced visibility on roads.
Temperatures on Sunday are forecast to reach 45°C in Abu Dhabi and 42°C in Dubai and Sharjah. Minimum temperatures are expected to be 29°C in Abu Dhabi, 31°C in Dubai and 27°C in Sharjah.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds are forecast at speeds of 10 to 20km/h, occasionally reaching 30km/h.
The sea will be calm.
According to meteorological data, the UAE’s highest temperature recorded on Saturday was 48.6°C at 2.15pm in Bada Dafas, in the Al Dhafra Region.
