British Airways to Resume Dubai Flights in November

The Middle East aviation sector has received a boost with the announcement that British Airways will resume flights to Dubai.

The British carrier suspended all flights to the UAE following the outbreak of war between the United States and Iran in February.

British Airways announced plans to restore services at various points during the conflict, but escalating tensions across the Middle East forced it to extend the suspension.

The airline has now officially confirmed that flights to Dubai International Airport (DXB) will resume on November 3.

British Airways is taking a phased approach to restoring its UAE network.

As part of this plan, services to Abu Dhabi will remain suspended until next year.

Flights to Abu Dhabi will not resume until the 2027-2028 winter season.

British Airways said the update was intended to provide greater clarity for its customers.

A spokesperson said the airline would continue monitoring conditions across the Middle East, which remains unstable as a result of the war.

The situation has been further complicated by renewed fighting between Houthi rebels and Saudi Arabia.

British Airways hopes to avoid another suspension and restore its popular services to Dubai International Airport as planned.

The British carrier will initially operate one daily flight to Dubai during the winter season.

British Airways plans to increase the frequency to two daily flights during the summer season.

Since the disruption began, British Airways has received praise from some quarters for its response. The airline previously said it had helped thousands of passengers return home, operated relief flights and added capacity on several key long-haul routes.

The announcement will be welcomed by the aviation industry, particularly as several other major international carriers, including United Airlines, have suspended UAE flights until next year.
