The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology said the weather on Saturday will be clear to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective cloud formation over eastern areas in the afternoon, potentially bringing rain.

Temperatures are expected to rise gradually. Conditions will become humid in some coastal areas overnight and on Sunday morning, with a chance of light fog.

Maximum temperatures on Saturday are forecast to reach 42°C in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Minimum temperatures will be 32°C in Dubai and 31°C in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

In its daily report, the National Centre of Meteorology said winds on September 5 will be light to moderate, occasionally strengthening in cloudy areas. Winds will blow from the south-east to north-east at speeds of 10 to 25 kilometres per hour, reaching 40kph at times.

The Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate, while the Sea of Oman will be slight.

The UAE’s highest temperature on Friday was 46.3°C, recorded at 3.30pm in Sweihan, Al Ain.
