Are Your Electricity and Water Bills High in Dubai? Use the Smart Living Tool
Dubai residents facing high electricity and water bills can use a digital tool to better manage their consumption.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) allows customers to view bill details, review consumption tariffs and monitor their electricity and water usage daily, weekly and monthly through its Smart Living initiative.
The dashboard also features a Consumption Assessment Tool. To use it, customers answer several questions about their consumption habits, property specifications, number of household occupants and electrical appliances.
The assessment helps users understand how their daily choices and habits affect electricity and water consumption, enabling them to manage their usage more effectively.
The tool also provides recommendations for improving efficiency and adopting more sustainable practices.
After completing the questionnaire, customers receive a detailed report on their household consumption patterns, including personalised recommendations and practical guidance tailored to their home to improve efficiency.
DEWA also offers a High Water Usage Alert service to help customers identify potential water leaks more quickly. Users receive immediate notifications when unusually high consumption is detected, allowing them to address leaks promptly and reduce water waste.
Away Mode is another useful feature. It sends regular consumption reports and alerts by email on a daily or weekly basis, allowing users to detect unusual consumption patterns even when they are away from home.
