Dubai’s Atlantis resorts are set to undergo significant changes.

A series of updates is under way or due to begin soon at Atlantis, The Palm, Atlantis The Royal and Aquaventure World, covering restaurants, pools, shops, lounges and even the waterpark’s largest indoor dining venue.

Some changes are smaller, ranging from additional sun loungers to redesigned pool areas. Others are more extensive, including a complete renovation of Ossiano and the opening of a new outdoor bar at Atlantis The Royal.

So, if it has been some time since your last visit to the Atlantis resorts on Palm Jumeirah, you may find a very different setting next time.

Here are the most significant changes coming to Atlantis Dubai.

1. New Open-Air Bar to Launch at Atlantis The Royal

A new venue for drinks and social gatherings is set to open at Atlantis The Royal.

The Garden Bar will be an open-air lounge surrounded by landscaped greenery, adding a fresh option to the resort’s dining and hospitality offerings.

Designed for daytime and evening use, the venue will offer additional outdoor seating with panoramic views of the resort.

While Atlantis The Royal already features numerous dining and drinking venues, the new space will focus on relaxed outdoor gatherings rather than a full restaurant experience.

2. New Pool at Atlantis The Royal

The Royal Pool at Atlantis The Royal will place greater emphasis on families following its renovation.

A new family pool will be added, along with around 60 new sun loungers, three in-water loungers and three air-conditioned cabanas.

The project will significantly expand the resort’s family leisure facilities and provide guests with more space around the pool during peak periods.

3. Ossiano at Atlantis The Palm to Undergo Full Renovation

One of Dubai’s most distinctive restaurants is set to undergo a complete renovation.

The underwater restaurant Ossiano at Atlantis The Palm will undergo an extensive refurbishment.

The restaurant’s renowned underwater setting, which has made it one of Dubai’s best-known dining experiences, will be retained. However, the overall design will be transformed to create a more immersive experience.

Details of the new design have yet to be announced, and it remains unclear how extensively the restaurant’s famous aquarium-side setting will change.

4. Aquaventure’s Largest Indoor Restaurant Is Coming Soon

Aquaventure World will soon offer a much larger dining space.

Poseidon’s Village will replace the venue formerly known as Barracudas, becoming the waterpark’s largest indoor dining destination.

The venue will accommodate nearly 400 guests indoors and around 300 outdoors.

The menu will feature vegan dishes, salads, wraps, speciality hot dogs, burgers, wood-fired pizzas, pies and Asian cuisine.

The children’s menu will also be revamped, while four self-service kiosks will be available for placing orders. Guests will also be able to order from their sun loungers and have meals delivered directly to where they are relaxing.

A dedicated branded merchandise shop will also form part of the new venue.

5. Broader Palm Jumeirah Views at Cloud 22

Cloud 22 already offers one of the most striking views of Palm Jumeirah, but its pool area is being redesigned to provide an even broader panorama.

As part of the changes, the Lotus Bar will be relocated to the other side of the venue, with the vacated space used to expand the sun-lounger area.

Around 40 new loungers will be added.

The new layout will also create more vantage points overlooking Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf, offering guests wider views of the skyline and sea.

6. River Rapids Refurbishment

The changes at Aquaventure extend beyond its food and beverage offerings.

River Rapids has been fully refurbished and resurfaced. Restoration, repainting and landscaping work is also under way across various parts of the park.

Rather than adding an entirely new attraction, the project is primarily focused on refreshing and upgrading one of Dubai’s largest waterparks.

7. Plato’s Lounge Is Getting Much Bigger

One of the best-known lobby venues at Atlantis, The Palm is being expanded.

Plato’s Lounge will occupy a larger section of the main lobby, with its seating capacity more than doubling.

A new balcony terrace offering views of the Dubai skyline will also be added.

The redesigned venue will continue to serve coffee, afternoon tea and light bites, while also undergoing several practical changes. A ramp will replace the existing stairs, the flow of movement through the lobby will be altered, and a new cascading water feature will be added.

The new Plato’s Lounge is scheduled to open in October 2026.

8. More Luxury Boutiques Are Coming

Atlantis Dubai is also expanding its retail offering.

Chloé and Brunello Cucinelli have opened at Atlantis The Royal, with Zimmermann set to join them.

A LEGO store has also been added to the retail line-up at Atlantis, The Palm.

Alongside restaurants, pools, beach clubs and the waterpark, visitors will now have even more shopping options.
