Ansar Group has announced that it will relocate its retail operations from Ansar Mall Sharjah to new locations after 23 years. Ansar Gallery branches in Al Karama and Deira, Dubai, are also included in the relocation plan. However, the landmark Ansar Mall Sharjah building will remain, correcting earlier reports that it would close entirely.

A final date for the closure of the three outlets has not yet been announced, but signs have been placed inside the stores informing customers of the upcoming move. Ansar Group said details of the new locations and opening dates would be announced soon.

Potential locations for future branches include Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Barsha in Dubai, as well as sites in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. A group representative said the move aims to establish a presence in areas offering better accessibility, visibility and commercial potential.

Ansar Mall Sharjah opened in 2003 as the Qatari group’s first project in the UAE. Its success later prompted Ansar’s expansion into Dubai, with Ansar Gallery Deira opening in 2012 and the Al Karama branch in 2013. Over the years, the stores became known for offering a broad range of products, from groceries and electronics to clothing, furniture and lifestyle goods.

Clearance sales have begun at all three outlets alongside the relocation announcement. Images shared publicly show discounts of up to 50 per cent and large crowds of shoppers.

Ansar Group has also confirmed that it will soon open its first Ansar Gallery in Abu Dhabi’s Al Shamkha area. The branch will focus on ready-made and custom-made carpets from countries including Turkey, Italy, Belgium, China, India and Pakistan, marking the group’s first specialist carpet showroom.
