Dubai residents can access a free indoor gym at the Dubai World Trade Centre this year without the need for a club membership.

The 16th edition of "Dubai Sports World" has launched to provide opportunities for sports and physical activity during the hot summer months, running until August 25, 2026. As one of Dubai’s largest indoor summer sports venues, this annual event offers new facilities for sports enthusiasts and families alike.

According to organizers, the air-conditioned complex spans 282,000 square feet and features a free gym, a one-kilometer indoor walking and running track, football pitches, badminton courts, and facilities for basketball, cricket, padel, pickleball, table tennis, and volleyball.

The free gym is a key highlight of this year’s Dubai Sports World. Equipped with cardio machines, resistance equipment, and free weights, it allows residents to maintain their daily fitness routines during the summer heat without paying membership fees.

The one-kilometer indoor track is designed for those who prefer walking, light jogging, or cardio exercises in a controlled, cool environment over outdoor activities. This facility serves as an ideal option for staying active as temperatures rise across the UAE.

Alongside public facilities, 17 sports academies are operating throughout the summer, offering training programs for both children and adults. These academies cover various disciplines, including football, basketball, badminton, tennis, volleyball, cricket, and cycling.

The venue is not exclusively for professional athletes. Dubai Sports World also features children’s play areas, inflatables, gaming zones, and food trucks, allowing families to spend a full summer day in an active indoor environment.

Dubai Sports World is open daily from 8 a.m. until midnight. Coinciding with school holidays, it offers an affordable indoor sports option for families seeking activities in Dubai.

The introduction of the free gym and indoor running track this season reflects Dubai’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle during the summer, a time when extreme heat often makes outdoor exercise challenging for many residents.
