The world-renowned attraction Sphere is set to come to the UAE, establishing its first location outside the United States in Abu Dhabi.

Yas Island has been announced as the site for this new landmark, which is expected to draw significant numbers of tourists from across the globe.

The world's first Sphere opened in Las Vegas in September 2023. Similar to the Las Vegas original, Sphere Abu Dhabi will be an experience-led venue powered by cutting-edge technologies.

The complex will be constructed on a site between Yas Mall and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, an area featuring extensive green spaces and proximity to other theme parks and attractions on Yas Island. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2029 at a cost of $1.7 billion.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, stated that this major investment in the construction phase sends a clear message: Abu Dhabi is open, ambitious, and firm on its path.

Events and Entertainment at Sphere Abu Dhabi

The venue will host three primary categories of events:

The complex will be similar in scale to the Las Vegas Sphere, with a projected capacity of up to 20,000 people. Once operational, the ongoing operations of Sphere Abu Dhabi are expected to create thousands of local job opportunities.
