Dubai Police warn against energy drink promotional videos: Excessive consumption can lead to cardiac arrest risk.
Dubai Police have urged parents to monitor their children's social media usage, particularly regarding videos that encourage and promote the excessive consumption of energy drinks.
The Cybercrime Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation of Dubai Police emphasized that some digital content is produced solely to attract views and engagement, with no regard for serious health and behavioral consequences.
Dubai Police also highlighted health issues associated with energy drinks, including severe complications such as heart rhythm disorders, seizures, loss of consciousness, and even the risk of sudden cardiac arrest.
It was also stated that children may face a range of adverse health effects, including poisoning, stomach disorders, increased anxiety, tension and irritability, decreased concentration, memory and sleep disturbances, rapid heartbeat, and high blood pressure.
Dubai Police urged the public to report any digital content that encourages dangerous behavior or threatens the safety of community members through the Dubai Police smart app, the E-Crime platform for reporting cybercrimes, or by calling 901.
