Dubai Police arrested three suspects over the theft of Dh190,000 and recovered the full amount just four minutes after receiving the report, following the swift response of an electric scooter patrol from Naif Police Station.

The incident began when the Command and Control Centre at Dubai Police’s General Department of Operations received a report of a theft in the Naif area. Details and descriptions of the suspects were immediately circulated to nearby police patrols.

An electric scooter patrol arrived at the scene just two minutes after receiving the alert. Officers quickly spread out across the surrounding area and arrested all three suspects within the next two minutes.

The stolen Dh190,000 was found in their possession and recovered in full.

Brigadier Omar Mousa Ashour, Director of Naif Police Station, said the swift arrests and recovery of the money demonstrated the high level of readiness among police patrols and the effectiveness of the force’s rapid-response system.

He added that Naif Police Station continuously monitors patrol performance and deployment to ensure reports are handled as quickly as possible, particularly in busy areas and crowded markets.

Ashour said electric scooter patrols are particularly effective in areas with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Their compact size allows officers to move quickly through markets and narrow alleys that may be difficult for police patrol vehicles to access.

He stressed that Naif Police Station would continue developing its field operations to reduce response times and further strengthen security across the area.
