Sharjah Police General Command has arrested two drivers for committing serious traffic violations, including reckless driving and endangering the lives of other road users.

Investigations were launched after it was discovered that one of the drivers had posted videos of the stunts on social media.

Police confirmed that both vehicles have been impounded, and the drivers have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.

In a video highlighting the incident, Sharjah Police reiterated that public roads are not venues for dangerous stunts, warning motorists against using social media platforms to boast about traffic violations.

Police received a report regarding two Nissan Patrols racing and driving recklessly. During the investigation, officers identified social media videos documenting the incident.

Using the footage and other investigative techniques, police identified the two drivers, seized the vehicles, and referred the case to the relevant authorities following the initiation of legal proceedings.

"The road is not a place for challenges, and social media platforms are not a stage for boasting about violations," police stated. "Every reckless act carries legal consequences that begin the moment it is posted online."

Sharjah Police urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations and refrain from dangerous driving that endangers lives. The authority warned that violations shared online can be used as evidence in criminal investigations.
