Etihad Rail has confirmed that fares for passenger trains between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be determined by demand using a flexible pricing system, with some peak-hour tickets costing up to Dh40 more than during off-peak periods.

A review of Etihad Rail’s booking platforms shows that some fares on the route increase during peak travel hours.

For example, a Premium Class ticket on a train departing Dubai at 5.14pm on Sunday, October 11, is priced at Dh149, compared with the off-peak fare of Dh109. At the time of checking, only one seat remained available in this class.

A Comfort Class ticket on the same train is priced at Dh59.

According to the booking platform, weekend fares for trains between Dubai and Abu Dhabi range from Dh49 to Dh149, with several classes already fully booked for the coming weekend.
