ADNOC Distribution Launches Major Electric Vehicle Charging Hub

ADNOC Distribution has announced the launch of one of the world's largest ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs.

The opening coincides with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, an event bringing together global leaders in the UAE capital to discuss the future of sustainable energy and infrastructure.

The new "Mega Hub" for electric vehicles is strategically located in the Saih Shuaib area on the E11 highway, between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The facility features 60 high-speed charging points, capable of charging most EV batteries from zero to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes.

The facility is considered the largest of its kind in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, and ranks sixth globally.

The hub is part of ADNOC Distribution's broader roadmap to develop a nationwide EV charging infrastructure.

Under this plan, the company intends to open 20 EV charging hubs across the UAE by the end of 2027, with 15 expected to be operational by the end of 2026. This initiative supports long-distance, uninterrupted road trips with electric vehicles on national highways.

This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure's long-term goal of having half of the vehicles on the roads be fully electric (battery-powered) by 2050.

ADNOC Distribution supports this goal through its E2GO charging network, which currently includes over 400 charging points and plans to reach 750 by 2028.

The launch of the mega hub also marks the opening of the first branch of "The Hub by ADNOC," focusing on travelers.

Designed to be larger than traditional service stations, this location combines refueling and EV charging with food and lifestyle services, creating a modern destination tailored to the needs of travelers.
