Mahan Air has announced that it will suspend flights to Turkey and Oman until further notice.

According to the statement, flights between Tehran and Muscat will be suspended from Thursday, September 17. Flights from Tehran to Istanbul and Ankara, as well as return services, will cease from September 21.

It was previously announced that Mahan Air flights to Georgia would also be suspended from September 21.

The changes come after the US Treasury Department sanctioned 27 active Iranian airlines on September 8 that had not previously been on its sanctions list. Mahan Air had already been under US sanctions for several years before the latest measures.
