UAE Welcomes US Terror Designation of Muslim Brotherhood Branches

The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the announcement by US President Donald Trump's administration to designate several branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt as terrorist organizations.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasized that the US action reflects the ongoing and systematic efforts of President Trump's administration to confront violence and destabilizing activities carried out by terrorist branches of the Muslim Brotherhood wherever they operate.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that this step represents a key action within the framework of US efforts to deprive these terrorist branches of the resources that enable them to engage in, support, or justify extremist, hate-inciting, and terrorist acts.

The Ministry affirmed the UAE's support for all international efforts aimed at combating extremism and terrorism and promoting regional and international security and stability.
