The Arabic edition of “Letters”, the new book by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is now available at several bookstores across Dubai and has attracted considerable interest from readers, many of whom are awaiting the English edition.

At Kinokuniya in Dubai Mall, the Arabic edition is priced at AED 89. A sales assistant said many customers had visited the store specifically to enquire about the book since its release.

The employee said the book had received a positive response so far, with many customers asking about its availability. Only the Arabic edition is currently available, while the English edition is expected to be released later this month.

Borders at Dubai Festival City also received copies of the book two days ago, priced at AED 89. A bookseller said the new title had proved popular among readers who had followed the first volume of the “Lessons from Life” series.

Some customers have purchased the Arabic edition, while others have asked when the English version will be available. One customer who visited the store to buy the English edition said he planned to return after its release when he learned that it had not yet arrived.

Mark, a British resident of the UAE, said he had read the English edition of the first volume and was eager to continue the series. He said the first book offered simple yet valuable lessons on responsibility, hard work and leadership that could benefit anyone.

“Letters” is the second volume in the “Lessons from Life” series and contains 26 letters addressed to Sheikh Mohammed’s children, family members, team, citizens and readers around the world.

The book brings together personal memories and reflections on leadership, justice, ambition and public service.

The Arabic edition of “Letters” has been available at major bookstores across the UAE since October 1, while the English edition is scheduled for release on October 15.
