UAE Issues Red and Yellow Fog Alerts as Humidity Rises Tonight
The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology said the weather today, Friday, October 9, will be clear to partly cloudy across most of the country, with increased cloud cover forecast over eastern areas in the afternoon.
Humidity will increase in some coastal and inland areas from tonight until Saturday morning, with a chance of fog or mist forming.
Southeasterly winds, gradually shifting northwesterly, will blow at 10 to 20 kilometres per hour, occasionally reaching 30 kilometres per hour.
The sea is also expected to remain calm.
The National Centre of Meteorology has issued red and yellow alerts for parts of the country until 9am due to the possibility of fog and reduced visibility.
Temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 39°C in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with lows of 30°C across all three emirates.
