The UAE has launched a national AI-powered platform to help students, graduates, and job seekers align their skills with the future requirements of the labor market.

The "UAE Skills Platform" was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, under the direction of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council. It is set to support more than 200,000 students and approximately 200 educational institutions across the country.

This initiative is part of the UAE's strategy to transition toward a skills-based economy, where educational pathways are synchronized with the needs of priority sectors and emerging industries.

According to officials, the platform is one of the first integrated national models in the region to connect labor market data to the educational system through an artificial intelligence model. The system analyzes jobs, academic qualifications, and required skills, while predicting future shifts in the labor market.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Education, Human Development and Community Development Council, stated that human development remains a fundamental pillar of the UAE's growth and that skill-building must align with national investments in priority sectors.

Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also emphasized that the platform contributes to empowering individuals and fostering a learning-oriented society by creating clear educational and career pathways.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said the platform is a strategic step toward narrowing the gap between educational outputs and labor market requirements, helping universities align their curricula with future skills.

The system will feature dedicated interfaces for students, parents, educational institutions, employers, government entities, and job seekers. Students can use it to explore suitable specializations, select their educational paths, and measure the alignment of their skills with market needs.

Employers will also be able to identify the skills they require and perform more accurate workforce planning, while policymakers will utilize the platform's data to inform educational and employment decisions.

The UAE Skills Platform is expected to support the development of more than 1,700 future skills and provide tailored educational and career recommendations for the future economy by analyzing skill gaps.
