Dubai authorities have seized 408 vehicles, including e-scooters, e-bikes and bicycles, in the Dubai Gold Souk area as part of an ongoing crackdown on reckless riders and traffic violators.

Dubai Police said the operation resulted in the seizure of 300 e-scooters, 50 e-bikes and 58 bicycles.

Authorities also took legal action against offenders and warned that using these vehicles in unauthorised areas could pose serious risks to other road users.

The operation was carried out as part of efforts by Dubai Police’s Naif Police Station to improve road safety and reduce dangerous behaviour.

Dubai Police also conducted an awareness campaign, educating 932 riders about traffic regulations and the importance of wearing safety and protective equipment while riding.

Safety equipment and protective gear were also distributed to a number of workers in the Naif area.
