The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said the weather on Monday, September 28, is expected to be clear to partly cloudy.

Clouds will form over eastern areas and may become convective by the afternoon, the centre said.

The NCM issued a red alert from 3.34am to 9.30am today, warning residents of reduced horizontal visibility, which could deteriorate further in some coastal and inland areas until 9am.

The UAE has experienced foggy conditions during the morning over the past few days, prompting authorities to lower speed limits on some roads to ensure motorists’ safety.

Ras Al Khaimah Police also urged motorists in a post on X to drive cautiously because of reduced visibility in foggy conditions.

Conditions are expected to become humid overnight and on Tuesday morning in some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or mist forming.

Light to moderate south-easterly to north-easterly winds are forecast, occasionally strengthening. Wind speeds will range from 10 to 20 kilometres per hour, reaching up to 35 kilometres per hour at times.

The sea will be calm.

Temperatures in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are forecast to reach highs of 40°C, 43°C and 37°C respectively, with lows of 30°C, 28°C and 27°C.
