UAE weather: Fog, reduced visibility and rain possible in some areas
The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said skies will be clear to partly cloudy across most of the country today, Sunday, October 11, with increased cloud cover forecast over eastern and southern areas.
According to the report, convective clouds may form during the afternoon, potentially bringing rain to some areas.
The NCM also warned of possible fog during the early morning, reducing horizontal visibility in some coastal and inland areas, particularly in western regions, until 9am on Sunday.
Temperatures are forecast to reach highs of 41°C in Abu Dhabi, 40°C in Dubai and 39°C in Sharjah. A temperature of 29°C is forecast for three other emirates.
Humidity will increase overnight and on Monday morning in some coastal and inland areas, with a possibility of fog or mist.
Southwesterly winds, gradually shifting to northwesterly, are forecast at speeds of 10 to 20km/h, occasionally reaching 30km/h.
Sea conditions are expected to be calm, with slight waves.
Drivers are advised to exercise extra caution during the early morning, particularly on coastal roads and in western areas, due to reduced visibility caused by fog.
