Vehicle inspections launched at Dubai car parks in Business Bay and DAMAC Hills through new Parkin service
Parkin, Dubai’s paid public parking services provider, has partnered with vehicle registration services company ABER to launch mobile vehicle inspection services at selected parking facilities across the city. The service has initially been introduced in Business Bay and DAMAC Hills 1 and will gradually expand to other areas of Dubai.
The initiative aims to provide motorists with easier access to vehicle inspection services near their homes, workplaces and everyday destinations, reducing the travel time required to obtain these services.
The partnership also forms part of Parkin’s strategy to expand beyond traditional parking management and broaden its urban mobility-related services.
The partnership agreement was signed in the presence of Engineer Osama Hashem Al Safi, Chief Operating Officer of Parkin, and Engineer Abdulrahman Al Shuwaihi, the company’s Director of Operations. Nasser Al Ali, a board member at ABER, and Mustafa Omar, the company’s Business Development Manager, also attended the ceremony.
Vehicle inspection services launched in Business Bay and DAMAC Hills 1
According to Parkin, the first phase of the mobile vehicle inspection service has been launched in Business Bay and DAMAC Hills 1.
The company plans to roll out the new service in phases across other parts of Dubai. Residential communities, commercial districts and high-traffic areas will be among the locations targeted in subsequent phases.
By leveraging its network of managed parking facilities, Parkin aims to expand vehicle-related services and make broader use of existing infrastructure.
The initiative also forms part of the company’s plan to transform parking facilities into integrated service hubs for motorists.
Online vehicle inspection bookings to be available soon
Parkin and ABER are working to integrate vehicle inspection services into Parkin’s digital platforms.
Once implemented, motorists will be able to use Parkin’s website and mobile app to locate vehicle inspection sites and book appointments.
The feature remains under development and is intended to simplify access to vehicle inspections while allowing motorists to schedule essential vehicle services more conveniently.
Parkin expands beyond parking management
Abdulrahman Al Shuwaihi, Director of Operations at Parkin, highlighted the significance of the agreement, saying: “Our partnership with ABER supports Parkin’s strategy to expand beyond traditional parking management and create an integrated suite of mobility services centred on customer needs.”
He added: “By using existing parking infrastructure to provide on-demand vehicle inspection services, we are making essential services more accessible, delivering a seamless customer experience and supporting Dubai’s ambition to become a smarter, better-connected city.”
RTA-approved mobile vehicle inspection technology deployed
Mustafa Omar, Business Development Manager at ABER, said the partnership would enable the expansion of mobile vehicle inspection services approved by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) across the city’s residential and commercial areas.
He said: “Our mobile inspection system, developed in the UAE using patented technology, allows customers to complete the vehicle inspection required for registration renewal at designated parking facilities in residential and commercial areas.”
Omar added that the new service would reduce travel time for motorists and allow them to have their vehicles inspected near their homes or workplaces.
He said the initiative also reflects ABER’s commitment to supporting the RTA’s vision of improving customer satisfaction and facilitating urban mobility, while aligning with Dubai’s broader goals of developing smart and sustainable city services.
