UAE Gold and Jewellery Festival Offers Up to 50% Discounts and Gold Prizes
Jewellery retailers across the UAE have launched special Diwali promotions, including instant cashback, gold price protection, discounts on making charges, and free gold coins and smartphones. The offers come as shoppers plan their festival-season spending more carefully.
Chirag Vora, CEO of Bafleh Jewellery, said the retailer is offering up to 10 per cent instant cashback on all gold and jewellery purchases. Diamond jewellery is also available at a 50 per cent discount, with an additional 10 per cent cashback.
He said customers can lock in the gold price by paying just 9 per cent of the purchase value as a deposit. If gold prices rise, customers pay the lower rate secured at the time of booking. If prices fall, they will be charged the lower rate available on the day of purchase.
The retailer is also offering 24-karat gold coins, bars and jewellery at wholesale prices.
Diwali, known as the Festival of Lights, will be celebrated in the UAE on November 8, 2026. Dhanteras, considered an auspicious day in Indian culture for buying precious metals, will fall on November 6.
Buying gold and jewellery during Diwali is a long-standing tradition, particularly among the Indian community, as gold symbolises wealth, prosperity, good fortune and new beginnings.
Many families mark the occasion by purchasing gold coins, bars, necklaces, bangles and other jewellery for personal use, gifts or weddings.
Gold prices, retailer promotions and making charges are among the factors influencing purchasing decisions. Some customers also bring forward planned purchases when gold prices decline.
Meanwhile, the decline in the price of 24-karat gold to below AED 500 per gram in Dubai offers another advantage to jewellery shoppers.
On Thursday, October 22, 24-karat gold was priced at AED 492.25 per gram in Dubai, while 22-karat gold stood at AED 455.75 and 21-karat gold at AED 437.
Discounts on making charges and free smartphones
Anil Dhanak, CEO of Kanz Jewels, said the retailer is offering discounts on making charges for Diwali, while customers whose purchases meet the qualifying criteria will receive free gold coins and smartphones.
“Diwali is a festival of giving and joy, and we want to share that spirit with our customers,” he said.
Dhanak added that the promotion aims to make festive purchases more appealing and rewarding for customers.
At Tanishq stores, customers can also receive discounts of up to 25 per cent on diamond prices and the making charges for gold and jewellery.
Neeraj Bakare, Vice-President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Titan Company’s international business, said customers exchanging old gold jewellery will receive 100 per cent of its gold value, plus an additional AED 15 per gram.
Highlighting the importance of Diwali for families, he said the occasion provides an opportunity to honour traditions, celebrate important life milestones and purchase items of personal and emotional value.
Bakare said the new promotions are designed to provide greater flexibility and value for customers looking to buy jewellery for themselves or their loved ones.
One-kilogram gold prize draw in Dubai
The Dubai Jewellery Group is also holding a special Diwali prize draw offering a total of one kilogram of gold.
According to the group, customers who spend at least AED 1,500 at participating stores will be eligible to enter the draw.
Purchases made by Dhanteras will also receive double entries.
In the special Dhanteras draw, five winners will each receive 100 grams of gold. One lucky winner will receive 500 grams of gold in the final draw on November 12, 2026.
More than 220 jewellery stores are participating in the campaign and will offer a range of discounts, gifts with purchase and special Diwali products until November 12.
Guaranteed gifts and gold price protection
Meena Jewellers is also offering guaranteed gifts on qualifying purchases as part of its Diwali promotion.
The gifts include the latest smartphones, smart wearable devices, and exclusive personalised gold bars from the brand.
Meanwhile, Shamlal Ahamed, Managing Director of International Operations at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, said the retailer is offering shopping vouchers on purchases of diamond and precious gemstone jewellery.
Special discounts are also available on gold and jewellery purchases, while customers can exchange their 22-karat gold jewellery for new products without any deduction from the value of the gold traded in.
Malabar has also introduced a “Gold Rate Protection” plan, allowing customers to lock in the current gold price by paying just 25 per cent of the purchase value as a deposit.
