Hollywood Stars in the UAE: From John Cena to Patrick J. Adams
Dubai is hosting a host of Hollywood celebrities this week, with leading film and television stars kicking off a star-studded week in the UAE.
One of the year’s most exciting and eventful weeks has arrived, bringing some of Hollywood’s biggest stars to the UAE. From appearances at Abu Dhabi Comic Con to exclusive celebrity dinners in Dubai, the country has welcomed major names from the entertainment industry in recent days. Here are six Hollywood stars who have been spotted in the UAE.
John Cena
John Cena, the renowned WWE wrestler who has become a prominent Hollywood actor in recent years, travelled to Abu Dhabi, where he received an enthusiastic welcome from fans. Known for his roles in films including Barbie and The Suicide Squad, he took part in one of Comic Con’s most anticipated sessions last weekend.
Cena appeared on the event’s main panel alongside Pom Klementieff, Charithra Chandran and Joonas Suotamo, speaking with fans about his career, his time in WWE and other topics.
Jacob Romero
Jacob Romero, star of the popular live-action series One Piece, attended the Middle East Film & Comic Con at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
The What’s On Abu Dhabi team also had the opportunity to speak with the actor about his popular One Piece character and the character’s fondness for straw hats.
Shameik Moore
Shameik Moore is best known as the voice of superhero Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. His appearance was another highlight of this year’s star-studded guest line-up at Abu Dhabi Comic Con.
The actor, who also portrayed Raekwon in Wu-Tang: An American Saga and Devin in Samaritan, took to the main stage last weekend to discuss his most famous role and meet fans.
Arden Cho
Arden Cho, who voices Rumi in Netflix’s hit film “KPop Demon Hunters,” was among the celebrities attending Abu Dhabi’s action-packed weekend.
The film has drawn widespread acclaim from audiences, while one of its standout songs topped music charts in 2025 and 2026.
Simu Liu
Movie stars were not the only celebrities to visit the UAE this weekend, with several big-screen superheroes also travelling to the country. Canadian actor Simu Liu, best known for Shang-Chi, the series Kim’s Convenience and his role as Ken in Barbie, appeared on the main stage alongside Pom Klementieff on September 11.
Liu is also set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in Marvel’s next major film, Avengers: Doomsday.
Patrick J. Adams
Patrick J. Adams, best known for playing high-profile lawyer Mike Ross in Suits, appears to share a passion with many Dubai residents and visitors: the city’s restaurants and luxury dining experiences.
The actor was spotted at Carbone in Atlantis The Royal, a venue that has become a popular celebrity hotspot in Dubai.
