Renowned auction house Sotheby’s will hold a series of art and luxury goods exhibitions and auctions in Abu Dhabi in December 2026. The week-long event will offer the public an opportunity to view valuable artworks and a selection of rare luxury items.

The second edition of Collectors’ Week will take place at the Saadiyat Grove Experience Centre on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island. The programme will feature public exhibitions, expert talks, special events and educational workshops.

Visitors will be able to view works by international and regional artists alongside luxury watches, fine jewellery, rare cars, designer handbags and professional bicycles. The public exhibitions will be held ahead of six auctions on December 9 and 10.

Sotheby’s First Art Auction in Abu Dhabi

One of the event’s main highlights will be the Breaking Ground auction, Sotheby’s first fine art auction in Abu Dhabi.

The auction will feature works by renowned international artists, including Andy Warhol and Claude Monet, alongside pieces by leading Middle Eastern artists and pioneering Emirati artists.

Rare Watches, Precious Jewellery and Ferrari Cars on Display

The event’s public exhibitions offer an opportunity to view some of the most notable items set to go under the hammer on December 9.

The “Shapes of Cartier” auction will feature around 50 watches from a private collection. Highlights include a rare Twin Strap watch dating from around 1970 to 1971.

Luxury car enthusiasts will also be able to view four distinctive Ferrari models up close:

- 2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M, in its original launch colour scheme
- 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, delivered to the Swiss market
- 2006 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti F1 HGTC, in rare Gris Violet
- 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, in Ivory Cream

The jewellery section will also feature a brownish-orange diamond weighing more than 40 carats, a necklace set with rubies and diamonds, and a pendant featuring a 10.51-carat crescent-shaped emerald and diamonds.
