Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026 dates announced; 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days
The 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 29, 2026, once again inviting residents and tourists to commit to 30 minutes of daily physical activity for 30 consecutive days.
This year’s program will feature four flagship events: Dubai Run, Dubai Ride, Dubai Stand Up Paddle, and Dubai Yoga. These will be supported by fitness villages, community Fitness Hubs, and thousands of classes, events, and sporting activities held across various locations in the city.
Organized by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and the Dubai Sports Council, the initiative is designed for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Organizers have announced that the 10th edition is set to be the most extensive and community-focused version of the event to date, with an increased use of digital tools to engage participants.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge was launched in 2017 following an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The core concept is simple: encouraging every individual to engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily for 30 days.
The inaugural edition of the program saw 786,000 participants, with engagement levels rising steadily over the years. In 2025, more than three million people participated in a single edition, bringing the total participation across the first nine years to over 16 million people.
Organizers state that the goal of the 2026 edition is not only to increase physical activity during the month but also to foster sustainable habits and integrate daily exercise into the lifestyle of Dubai residents. Details regarding the timing and locations of major events and community programs will be announced gradually.
