Tickets for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi are now on sale, allowing visitors to book ahead of the museum’s official opening on December 11 on Saadiyat Island.

General admission is priced at Dh70, while entry will be free for visitors under 18, UAE students and those aged 60 and above. Discounted rates will also be available for certain eligible groups.

The museum’s opening will add one of Abu Dhabi’s most significant new cultural attractions to the emirate’s collection of art institutions. Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will showcase modern and contemporary art from the 1960s to the present day.

Designed by the late Frank Gehry, winner of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, the museum features 28 indoor galleries connected through a central atrium.

The design also includes 10 large cone-shaped structures, with a total of 23,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition space across the cones and terraces.

The museum building spans 11,600 square metres and will display works including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, moving images and new media.

Rather than following a strictly chronological or geographical approach, the museum aims to explore artistic connections, exchanges and links between cultures and regions worldwide through its collections and exhibitions.

Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is being developed in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
