Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has inaugurated the city’s first smart bus station at Mall of the Emirates, a modern and sustainable facility offering digital, interactive, and 24/7 customer services.

The station aims to reduce waiting times and improve the travel experience, serving 11 bus routes including six Dubai Metro feeder routes, three internal routes, and two seasonal routes.

The new station connects key areas such as Al Barsha, Umm Suqeim, Al Sufouh, Al Quoz, Al Ghubaiba, The Greens, Jumeirah Village Circle, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Science Park, and Dubai Studio City, while providing access to destinations like Dubai Miracle Garden and Global Village. It is directly connected to the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station.

The smart hub spans approximately 147 square meters and has the capacity to accommodate 20 customers simultaneously. It also includes a dedicated rest area for drivers.

Key features of the station include real-time information displays, facility maps, arrival times for buses, metro, and taxis, access routes to nearby attractions, and informative content.

The station also features a smart customer service kiosk providing a virtual assistant for trip planning, inquiry responses, lost and found services, and direct communication with the call center.

Dedicated screens display the arrival times of upcoming buses and their occupancy levels, enabling passengers to make faster, more efficient travel choices and improving crowd management.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) stated that this model represents the future of public transport stations in Dubai, with plans for further expansion across the city. This initiative reinforces Dubai's position in smart and sustainable transportation.
