Oman Announces New Fee Schedule for Citizenship Applications

Oman has approved a revised schedule of fees for citizenship applications and related nationality matters, according to details published in the Sultanate's official gazette.

Under the revised structure, the fee for submitting an application for Omani citizenship has been set at 600 Omani Rial. The same fee applies to applications submitted by foreign women married to Omani nationals, as well as widows or divorced wives of Omani individuals, and minor children of Omani women.

The decision also introduces a fee of 200 Omani Rial for applications related to renouncing or relinquishing Omani citizenship.

The new fee structure, effective from January 4, 2026, is part of efforts to standardize administrative procedures governing nationality services across the country.

Officials confirmed that there have been no changes to the eligibility criteria or legal requirements for citizenship or nationality matters, emphasizing that the decision solely concerns application and service fees.
