Saudi Arabia launches one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the launch of a new Umrah visa valid for one year, allowing multiple entries into the kingdom.

Under this scheme, visa holders can enter Saudi Arabia multiple times over a 365-day period, with a total stay not exceeding 90 days.

The visa remains valid for one year from the date of issuance, and its use is subject to the regulations and conditions set by Saudi authorities.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, this initiative aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program. It aims to facilitate the entry of pilgrims, enhance the pilgrimage experience, and improve service efficiency.

Requirement to obtain permits and service packages from Nusuk

For each trip, visa holders must purchase a service package from approved companies through the Nusuk platform.

The duration of the service package must not exceed the remaining validity of the visa. Additionally, pilgrims are required to obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk application before entering Saudi Arabia.

Visa suspension during Hajj season

The visa is deactivated after each departure from Saudi Arabia and will be reactivated for the next trip upon meeting the necessary requirements.

The one-year Umrah visa will not be valid for use during the Hajj season, specifically from the 1st of Dhu al-Qi'dah to the 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah.

Key features of the new Umrah visa

The visa is valid for 365 days from issuance, allows multiple entries, and permits a total stay of up to 90 days.

Obtaining an approved service package from the Nusuk platform is mandatory for every trip, and the Umrah permit must be issued via the Nusuk app prior to arrival.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that this new visa provides greater flexibility for planning Umrah trips and helps integrate digital and operational services throughout the pilgrims' journey.
