Foreign residents in the UAE who have held a valid residency for at least three consecutive years can now travel to Montenegro without a prior visa under a temporary exemption, allowing stays of up to 10 days.

The exemption, which began on May 1, is valid until October 1, 2026. Travelers must arrive in Montenegro via a direct flight from the UAE; those arriving through a third country will not be eligible for this facility.

Upon arrival, applicants must present a valid passport or travel document, a UAE residency card or permit, and proof of a tourist booking or itinerary. Their residency permit must have been active for at least three consecutive years prior to entry.

This decision applies to UAE residents whose nationalities typically require a visa for Montenegro. UAE citizens are already permitted to enter Montenegro visa-free for up to 90 days with a valid passport.
