Cristiano Ronaldo is set to play in the UAE with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr next week as the 2026/27 AFC Champions League season begins.

Al Nassr will face the UAE’s Al Ain on Tuesday, September 15, at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, in a match that could be one of the final opportunities for fans in the Emirates to watch Ronaldo play in person.

Last season, Ronaldo captained Al Nassr to the Saudi Pro League title, a victory that also secured the team’s qualification for the AFC Champions League.

The 41-year-old Portuguese star has previously indicated that the current season may be the last of his professional career. In an interview with Vogue magazine, Ronaldo mentioned that this year would likely mark his final year in football.

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has played for clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, and it now appears he will conclude his playing days at Al Nassr.

With five UEFA Champions League titles already to his name, he now aims to add the AFC Champions League trophy to his list of achievements.

Fans who miss next week’s encounter between Al Nassr and Al Ain will have another chance to see Ronaldo in the UAE. Al Nassr is scheduled to face Shabab Al Ahli at Rashid Stadium in Dubai on February 15, 2027.

Tickets for the Al Nassr vs. Al Ain match have not yet been released for general sale. Public ticket sales are expected to start over the weekend, although some reports suggest the match may already be reaching capacity.

Individuals who have already purchased a 2026/27 AINAWI membership will be eligible to attend the match.

With Ronaldo potentially retiring at the end of the season, his appearances with Al Nassr in the UAE this September and February represent some of the last chances for local fans to see the Portuguese icon in action.
