To mark the launch of the 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge, ISD Dubai Sports City has announced free padel and table tennis sessions for People of Determination. The daily programme will run from October 31 to November 29, 2026, aiming to provide equal opportunities to participate in sporting activities.

The initiative is part of the free 30x30 Challenge, with ISD dedicating three padel courts and three table tennis tables exclusively to People of Determination.

Participants can attend one-hour sessions in both sports every day. The programme is designed to encourage people of all abilities to stay active, build confidence and enjoy sport in an inclusive environment.

Daniels Petrovs, CEO of ISD Dubai Sports City, said the main barrier preventing People of Determination from participating in sport is often not their abilities, but the lack of suitable facilities, consistent scheduling and an environment where they feel they belong.

He added that inclusive participation in sport helps strengthen social connections, foster friendships and build confidence. He said the organisation aims to ensure that the activities launched in November become part of participants’ daily lives even after the Dubai Fitness Challenge ends.

Free Football Courses Offered at Dubai and Sharjah Schools

Alongside this initiative, ISD is expanding the Real Madrid Foundation’s football education activities in schools across Dubai and Sharjah.

Under the initiative, Real Madrid Foundation coaches will work with school physical education departments to provide free football training during PE classes, giving students an opportunity to experience the sport even if they have no previous experience.

In addition to teaching football skills, the courses will focus on values such as teamwork, mutual respect and resilience in the face of challenges.

Coaches will also hold beach football programmes at Kite Beach and host groups of students at Al Warqa Park. Further activities are planned for Zabeel Park and other public spaces across Dubai.

Children who take part in the football activities will receive a certificate of attendance and an invitation to attend a free trial session at the ISD facility in Dubai Sports City.

The organisation’s football training programme currently has nearly 1,200 athletes, and officials said its participant capacity will almost double.
