Dubai Police will host the second edition of the “Pride of the Emirates” cycling race on Sunday, October 4, with total prize money of AED 140,000.

The 80-kilometre race will begin at 6am from the Nad Al Sheba Centre and forms part of the current season’s cycling calendar.

The event is being organised in collaboration with the UAE Cycling Federation, Dubai Sports Council and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority.

Dubai Police said the race is part of a series of sporting and national initiatives aimed at celebrating the UAE, its achievements and residents’ appreciation for the country.

The event also seeks to encourage healthier lifestyles and make sport part of daily life—an approach Dubai Police said can help enhance community health, safety and happiness.
