Apple’s foldable iPhone hits Dh25,000 on UAE resale market; seller makes Dh32,000 profit in one hour!
Resale offers for some versions of Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, have reached AED 25,000 following its official launch in the UAE—more than AED 11,000 above the official price of the 2TB model.
The iPhone Duo went on sale in the UAE on Friday, October 23, 2026. Retailers said limited stock and strong demand had driven a significant rise in resale prices.
Mohammad Salimov, an Uzbek citizen who travelled to the UAE to buy the device, said he had ordered eight 2TB iPhone Duo units.
“The official price is AED 13,599 per device, but I have received offers of up to AED 25,000 here in the UAE,” he said.
However, Salimov does not intend to sell the phones in the UAE. He plans to take them to Uzbekistan, where he said buyers are willing to pay even more for the device.
Meanwhile, a retailer named Mohammad, who owns a mobile phone shop in Dubai’s Deira district, said he had bought four 256GB iPhone Duo units and sold each at a profit of AED 8,000. He said the transactions generated a total profit of about AED 32,000 in one hour.
Official UAE prices for the iPhone Duo are AED 8,499 for the 256GB model, AED 9,349 for the 512GB version, AED 11,049 for the 1TB model and AED 13,599 for the 2TB version.
The device is Apple’s first foldable product and uses a Touch ID fingerprint sensor instead of the Face ID facial recognition system.
Mohammad Sharif, owner of Xtel Mobiles, said his store received only three devices on the first day, with the next shipment expected in November.
Another retailer said he had reserved more than 30 units and had so far sold 14 at an estimated profit of AED 7,000 per phone. He has also held back 10 units in the hope of selling them at higher prices.
The retailer said delivery dates for some new orders had been pushed back to January 2027. He expects supply constraints to drive prices even higher in the coming weeks.
