The first Etihad Rail passenger station in Fujairah offers a glimpse into the future of rail travel in the UAE, featuring a modern design, iconic cream and grey color palette, and a bright, open atmosphere.

During an exclusive media tour, various sections of the station were showcased, including the entrance, waiting lounge, information desk, ticket vending machines, automated gates, and passenger platforms.

The station's interior is designed with a blend of grey and cream tones accented by touches of red. The entrance features automated platform access gates, an information desk, and a large map of the complete Etihad Rail network, highlighting key landmarks such as airports, Burj Khalifa, and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Large screens provide passengers with real-time information on departure times, destinations, and platform numbers.

Ticket vending machines have been installed for passengers purchasing tickets at the station. Travelers can buy one-way or return tickets, utilize a quick booking option, or take additional time to select specific seats and add extra services to their reservations.

Clear signage marks the way to taxis, parking, restrooms, and prayer rooms. Dedicated paths have also been incorporated for People of Determination to ensure seamless movement throughout the station for all passengers.

The station platform features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer abundant natural light and panoramic views of the Hajar Mountains and the sea. Platforms are equipped with train information screens and large analog clocks.

Fujairah Station is the first fully completed passenger station in the Etihad Rail network. Spanning approximately 51,900 square meters, its construction involved more than 20,800 cubic meters of concrete and over 2,270 tonnes of steel.

According to an Etihad Rail spokesperson, the station’s location in Al Hilal City was strategically selected. It is a 12-minute drive from Fujairah International Airport, eight minutes from Fujairah City, five minutes from Sakamkam Fort, and six minutes from Umbrella Beach.

Upon full operation, retail outlets and facilities will be available at the station, transforming the hub from a mere transit point into a destination in its own right.

For many travelers, this station will provide their first impression of Fujairah, positioning the emirate as a vital new gateway within the UAE’s future rail network.
