Dubai Police has announced a 200% increase in response rates for reports involving women following the integration of artificial intelligence and voice recording capabilities into its protection reporting system.

The system now features an AI-powered "Instant Assistant," enabling users to file reports more quickly while ensuring complete confidentiality. The voice recording feature has also improved accessibility for individuals who may be unable to provide written details of an incident.

Brigadier Abdulrahman Khalifa Al Shaer Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Human Rights at Dubai Police, stated that these enhancements have led to faster police intervention, quicker access to victims, and more discreet case management.

Under the system’s framework, reports are categorized based on risk levels. A specialized team monitors urgent cases around the clock, initiating immediate intervention for emergencies. Non-urgent complaints are processed and resolved within a maximum of two working days, in line with Dubai Police performance indicators.

In 2025, the Dubai Police smart app and the women’s protection platform served as the primary channels for 95% of reports and complaints filed by women. For child protection cases, phone calls through the "Child Protection" service and the unified call center remained the most common reporting method, accounting for 60% of cases.

Dubai Police emphasized that protecting the identity and personal data of victims is a fundamental principle in handling such cases. The case management system encrypts all identifying information to maintain privacy throughout the support and follow-up process.

The department also highlighted the provision of financial, legal, social, and psychological support for victims of human trafficking. These services include temporary shelter and coordination with the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children when necessary.
