Dubai Ruler urges UAE citizens and residents to raise national flag on November 3
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, called on all citizens and residents to raise the UAE flag over homes, ministries, institutions, schools and universities on Tuesday, November 3, in celebration of UAE Flag Day.
In a message issued on Tuesday, October 27, ahead of Flag Day, Sheikh Mohammed said: “Next week, on November 3, we will mark an important national moment that symbolises our love, pride and loyalty to our country.”
He urged citizens, residents and institutions across all seven emirates to raise the national flag, describing the occasion as a shared moment to express national unity, with the people of the UAE coming together before the symbol of their country’s dignity and pride.
The Ruler of Dubai also emphasised the nation’s readiness to make sacrifices to keep the UAE flag flying high, concluding his message with the words: “Long live the nation, long live the flag.”
UAE Flag Day is observed annually on November 3, marking the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession as President of the UAE in 2004. Introduced in 2013 at the initiative of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, it has become an annual national occasion symbolising unity, sovereignty and loyalty to the country.
