UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a message of congratulations to US President Donald Trump and the American people on Saturday, July 4, 2026, marking the United States' Independence Day. He described the relationship between the two nations as a "strong alliance and an enduring friendship."

In a post shared on social media platform X, the UAE President noted that over the past decades, the bond between the two countries has been built on a solid foundation of mutual trust, shared visions, and aligned interests. Looking toward a shared future, he emphasized that the UAE remains committed to deepening its close ties with the United States to achieve sustainable progress and prosperity for both nations and the world. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also reflected on the founding of the United States 250 years ago, calling the journey a symbol of will and resilience—values he said continue to underpin the lasting partnership and mutual trust between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also sent similar congratulatory messages to the US President.

As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary of independence this year, the UAE’s "Al Fursan" aerobatics team will participate in the commemorative air shows for the first time. The UAE Ministry of Defence announced that the team will fly alongside the US Navy’s "Blue Angels" and US Air Force aircraft, a move the ministry stated reflects the depth of strategic relations and shared values between the two nations.

The main ceremony for this historic anniversary will take place on Saturday in Washington, D.C., where President Trump plans to host a major gathering at the National Mall. The event will feature military flyovers and an extensive fireworks display, which he has described as the largest in the world.
