For the first time, a UAE aerobatic display team will participate in major air shows for US Independence Day, scheduled for July 4, 2026, to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

The UAE Ministry of Defence announced on Friday that the Al Fursan air display team will perform alongside the US Navy Blue Angels and US Air Force aircraft. According to the ministry, the display reflects the depth of strategic relations between the UAE and the US, as well as the shared values and long-standing partnership between the two nations.

The team will also perform its signature aerobatic displays over Jones Beach in New York, showcasing precision flying skills and professional formations. The performance will paint the sky with the colors of the UAE flag, serving as a tribute to national pride and the achievements of Emirati talent.

The UAE Ministry of Defence has released a video showing the arrival of Emirati jets in the United States as they prepare for the display.

US President Donald Trump plans to hold a large campaign-style political rally at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., featuring military fighter jet flyovers and what he has described as the "world's largest fireworks display."

Trump joked, "On July 4th, the temperature will be around 107 degrees Fahrenheit, or 41 degrees Celsius, and I’m going to give a very long speech just to show that I can handle anything."
