President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan offered his condolences on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, on the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

During a visit to Lusail Palace in Doha, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his sincere sympathies to the Al Thani family and the people of Qatar, praying to Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal peace and to provide his family with patience and solace.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his appreciation for the UAE President's sincere and brotherly sentiments toward Qatar and its people following this loss.

The delegation accompanying the UAE President also attended the condolence ceremony. The delegation included His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and a number of ministers and senior officials.
