Reuters: US Personnel Advised to Leave Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar

Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing three diplomatic sources, that some staff and personnel stationed at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar have been advised to leave the base as soon as possible, by the end of the day.

Al Udeid Air Base, located west of Doha, is the largest US military base in the Middle East, hosting approximately 10,000 US military personnel and serving as the headquarters for US Central Command (CENTCOM).

This precautionary measure comes amid heightened regional tensions. According to reports, Iranian authorities have warned regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey, that US bases on their soil will be targeted if the United States uses their territory for any military action against Iran.
