The View at Palm Jumeirah in Dubai has unveiled eight new glass platforms, allowing visitors to stand 240 metres above the island and take in the city and sea from a different perspective.

The new attraction, called The Ledge, features eight glass platforms, each extending 1.5 metres beyond the edge of the main observation deck into the open air.

Four platforms face Palm Jumeirah’s fronds, outer crescent and the sea, while the other four offer views of Dubai’s skyscrapers and skyline.

Visitors can stand on the platforms, admire the surrounding scenery or look down through the glass floor beneath their feet. The new feature also provides fresh opportunities to photograph Dubai’s landscapes.

The views change throughout the day, from blue skies in daylight to golden hues at sunset and Dubai’s illuminated buildings at night.

The new platforms were unveiled to coincide with The View’s fifth anniversary. The attraction opened in 2021 on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower, which is connected to Nakheel Mall.

Over the past five years, the attraction has welcomed millions of visitors from 130 countries and hosted 40 marriage proposals. More than 300 local and international professional photographers have also used its 360-degree views to capture images of Palm Jumeirah and Dubai.

The new glass platforms are now open to the public, with access included in the attraction’s standard admission ticket.

Ticket prices start at AED 115 for adults and AED 80 for children. Tickets can be purchased through the attraction’s official website at www.theviewpalm.ae .
