Meta launches new smart glasses in UAE, starting at AED 1,160
Shoppers in the UAE can now order Meta Glasses for the first time, with prices starting at AED 1,160. Meta has also opened orders in the country for the third-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses, starting at AED 1,960. The UAE launch of both products was announced at the annual Connect 2026 event.
The UAE is one of four new markets for Meta Glasses, alongside Singapore, South Korea and Mexico. Unveiled in June this year, the glasses do not carry Ray-Ban or Oakley branding, unlike Meta’s previous models. They had already launched in parts of Europe and Australia before arriving in the UAE.
Meta Glasses will be available in the UAE in several models. These include a new “Ivory” colourway of the Starfire model, associated with US celebrity Kylie Jenner. Meta has also designed a collection in collaboration with Lisa, the Thai singer from Blackpink. It features two models: the “Lisa Edition Adventurer”, with a “Moonlit Sky” frame and pink lenses, and the “Lisa Edition Capri”, with a cat-eye frame and grey lenses. Both models support prescription lenses.
According to Meta, the glasses’ privacy features remain unchanged. Whenever a user takes a photo or records a video, a bright white light flashes on the glasses to alert people nearby.
The third-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses will also be available in the UAE from Thursday, September 24. The glasses feature a slimmer design and a button for quicker access to Meta’s AI assistant and other functions. Meta says they offer the longest battery life of any model in the range. Aviator and Zena designs have also been added to the line-up. The two new releases join the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses already available in the UAE.
Meta also announced updates to Muse, its personal AI agent. The service is currently available only in the US, Canada and Mexico, with plans to expand to other markets. The company intends to bring Muse to its smart glasses, allowing users to turn conversations into actions, such as adding an item to a shopping list or finding a suitable time to meet someone and sending them an invitation. Meta has not announced a launch date for Muse in the UAE.
At Connect 2026, Meta unveiled its broadest smart glasses portfolio to date and expects to have more than 100 models across the Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses brands on the market by the end of the year.
