The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued red and yellow fog alerts for Thursday, warning residents of reduced visibility, particularly during the morning commute.

According to the NCM, skies across the UAE will be clear to partly cloudy today, with temperatures expected to rise.

Light to moderate winds are forecast at 10 to 20 kph, occasionally reaching 30 kph.

Temperatures could reach a high of 44°C in some parts of the country. Abu Dhabi is expected to reach 42°C, while Dubai could see temperatures of up to 41°C.

Minimum temperatures are forecast at 31°C in Abu Dhabi and 29°C in Dubai, while temperatures could fall to 25°C in some parts of the country.

Humidity will increase in some coastal areas overnight and on Friday morning, with a chance of fog or mist.

Relative humidity is forecast to range from 40% to 90% in Abu Dhabi and from 20% to 90% in Dubai.

The sea will be calm.
