Colonel Khalid Rabie Al Hammoudi, Deputy Director of Fujairah Civil Defence, visited the family of a child who had fallen into a well at their home along with a domestic worker to check on their condition.

During the visit on Monday morning, Al Hammoudi checked on the child’s health and congratulated the family on the rescue. He also visited the domestic worker at Fujairah Hospital and wished both a speedy recovery.

The visit was part of Fujairah Civil Defence’s efforts to maintain close ties with the community and follow up on humanitarian cases, while highlighting its role in protecting lives and property.

Fujairah Civil Defence urged owners of homes, farms and plots of land to ensure that wells are securely covered and protected, with barriers and clear warning signs installed around them.

The authority warned that open wells can pose a serious danger to children and adults, urging residents to take the necessary preventive measures to avoid accidents.

Fujairah Civil Defence stressed that community safety is a shared responsibility and that securing open wells can prevent accidents that may put lives at risk.
