UAE Strongly Condemns Houthi Attack on Medina Power Distribution Station
The UAE has strongly condemned a drone attack by Yemen’s Houthis on the Taibah electricity distribution station in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis said on Thursday that the Iran-backed group had targeted the power station two days earlier.
According to the coalition, one of the station’s transformers was taken out of service in the attack, but Medina’s electricity network was not affected.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a “flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty” and a threat to the country’s security and stability.
The ministry also reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard the Kingdom’s security and stability.
